Announced during the first-ever Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2025 (SIM-25) in New Delhi, the event celebrated the legacy of the IAF’s most daring mission — the world’s highest air operation during the Kargil War. Created by Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Kushal Srivastava and directed by Oni Sen, Operation Safed Sagar features a powerful ensemble cast including Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Verma, Mihir Ahuja, Taaruk Raina, and Arnav Bhasin. The series is produced by Matchbox Shots and Feel Good Films with the support of the Indian Air Force, promising an authentic depiction of heroism.

The spirit of the nation came alive at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, where the OSS teaser was revealed amid cheers and pride. The marathon saw participation from over 12,000 people, including serving officers, veterans, dignitaries like Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, and enthusiastic civilians. Air Chief Marshal Singh lauded Netflix’s initiative, stating that Operation Safed Sagar honors the professionalism and bravery of the Air Force during the Kargil War. His words highlighted how the mission tested the limits of courage and skill, setting new standards of military excellence.
